You all know Wattpad is like 90% of my Internet presence and a huge passion of mine. Wattpad itself, for those who might not have heard of it yet, is a writing community in which aspiring and even published authors post novels, short stories, poems and fan fiction, either through the website or its app. Writing and reading is free!
To me, Wattpad is the best app to read stories and connect to other writers or readers because not only are there stories to add to your personal library, you can also talk to mutuals in the forum.
Since I read a lot on Wattpad, I thought I'd help this series come to life: every once in a while I'll bring to you my most cherished Wattpad recommendations. This time it's all about the romance. I'm a sucker for hate to love relationships and all things cute banter.
Mailboy by foreversmilin
"You're not my boss."
"Actually, I kind of am."
In which Zoey Hunter, whose hobbies were painting and delivering mail, discovers Nico Forrest, a boy forced to get a job at his local post office and is forced to bond with him over morning mail delivery.
What could go wrong? Everything.
Kissing Is The Easy Part by rainbowbrook
Flora is afraid being beautiful is her only talent. Some of the words she hates include economy class, second-hand clothes, and budget. She likes fashion, dating, not being on time and getting what she wants-until she meets Sean, who is like the clock striking midnight; he makes all her magic power wear off.
He is as mature and sophisticated as the dark roasted coffee he drinks, while she is like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside.
The attraction is instant, but getting a kiss is only the first step. Each tries the hardest to impress the other, but a misunderstanding soon drives them apart. On finding their way back to each other, they have to overcome a violinist, a broken knee, a history project, a surprise, a heartbreak operation...
A coming-of-age story that teaches a young couple to appreciate their differences, to realize that there are always two sides to every story. Thrown into the boiling cauldron of teen years, they explore love, jealousy, rivalry and learn to trust and accept.
Noah and Leigh by colourlessness
A collection of notes, a public library, two teenagers, and zero spoken communication.
Love Detours by wohnderwall
Allegra Sawyer was just a simple waitress with nothing higher than the tips she collected.
Though when Allegra surveys a date gone wrong by her long time crush and pianist extraordinaire Grant Elias, she can't help but be amused by his futile attempts at stuffing the complimentary breadsticks displayed at each table, under his shirt.
Fighting the urge as to whether confront him about why he was ditching his date, or ignore the scene altogether, Allegra Sawyer is soon thrown into a whirlwind of friendship, heartbreak, and chaos.
One thing is for certain when it comes to Allegra and Grant's relationship, the road to love is paved with too many detours. After all, what else did you expect to happen when he's your Prince Charming and you're not his Cinderella?
No Hard Feelings by SamMadison
Dexter and Hadley started off as lovers but ended up as best friends, and that, to them, was the best thing that could have happened to their relationship. But everything they'd ever known about their friendship is thrown off course when they wake up in bed with each other one morning... wearing their birthday suits.
Sleep Deprived by thepurplerose
College, a reason enough to be sleep deprived.
Lizzie Hale is rarely not sleep deprived. She can't sleep alone, and even her meager excuse for a teddy bear (it's barely the size of her arm) doesn't help all of the time. Call it self prescribed insomnia if you will (though self prescribing doesn't help much when she refuses to go get checked). Because of her constant over-thinking behavior, and her fear for making new friends she kind of cornered herself to accept anyone that would be okay living with her in a cheap apartment, as long as they weren't psycho killers.
William Anderson accepted a last minute offer of an apartment with a girl. A girl. It's not like he expects to get laid, but he's not complaining. Though he doesn't exactly expect Elizabeth Hale either, and he surely doesn't expect for her to slowly become interested in his past, a past he'd rather keep hidden. A past that brings constant nightmares which he quiets by swallowing sleeping pills every night or else he can't sleep at all.
So when a certain bear is donated by accident and Lizzie stops Will from almost overdosing on sleeping pills they decide it's time to change something in their lives.
Hence they come up with an agreement to start sleeping together.
At this point I'd like to say that most of my Favourites would have been listed here, e.g. Slow Dancing by hepburnettes but I am saddened to say that she's unpublished her works on Wattpad. Once they're hopefully up as eBooks, I'll gladly introduce them to you because she's been a huge inspiration in the Romance field for me.
Hopefully you'll enjoy reading these stories if you get to read them! See you on Wattpad.
Until then – keep reading,
