It hasn't been a year yet and I still catch my mind drifting off to my school trip to Italy last October. I was just thinking about the last time I felt carefree and light – and colourful Italy popped up in the back of my mind immediately. My laptop was already on, iTunes playing Jack Johnson and Milky Chance, and I clicked my way through folders and photographs until I could view a gallery of all the images I took during my trip. Stunning ones, and also completely silly ones.
Photography is a beautiful thing. Solely because photographs do not only capture moments but whole atmospheres. I feel a hint of nostalgia whenever I think of a place I wish to be in, a place I genuinely want to go back to (and can't). And sometimes I wonder which is worse: missing a person or a place.
Summer is just around the corner, awaiting me with wide, promising arms. Yesterday I spent a whole day in another city, just shopping with my mum and sister. Content as I am, I cannot wait to show off my new clothes. It's been raining this whole week but patience is key. Happy times are coming! (Promise.)Have you guys ever been to Italy yet?
